Reminders

Reminders as loud
as you need.

Type it like you’d say it: “call dad at 5pm”. Then pick how loud: a ripple in the notch, or every screen until you deal with it.

How it works
01
Type it
“standup every weekday 9:30”.
02
Pick how loud
Notch, or Takeover.
03
It finds you
And waits until you act.
01 · Takeover

Every screen, until you act.

Every screen goes black with the reminder in the middle and rings spreading out, and nothing else is clickable until you snooze it or press Done.

02 · Escalate

Walked past it? It gets louder.

Leave a notch reminder for five minutes and it takes over the screen.

03 · Plain words

Repeats included.

“stretch every 30 min”, “team sync every monday 11:00”: the time and repeat appear before you commit.

Questions
Will it wake my Mac?
No. Nothing can wake a sleeping Mac for a reminder. It fires the moment you wake it and shows how overdue it is.
Does it work if my Mac is muted?
Yes, it is visual: the notch and the takeover still show. The drip is silent while the Mac is muted.
Does it show through Do Not Disturb?
Yes. The notch and the takeover are drawn by notchman itself, so they appear regardless of Focus. notchman has to be running; if it was quit, a missed reminder fires as soon as it opens.
Is this the same as Apple Reminders?
No. This is time-based and about being heard, not a to-do list. notchman's Tasks tab covers your list; Reminders is the alarm clock beside it.
