How Analytics works

Paste your DataFast key, either the website key or an account token. It's stored in the Keychain and used read-only.

The tab shows visitors on the site right now, today's visitors and pageviews, the last seven days, a 30-day visitors chart, and the top pages and sources for the week. It refreshes every two minutes while open.

Google Analytics is coming soon.

Tips

• Sources show where the week's visitors came from, so a spike from one post is obvious.
• Switch the tab off in Settings when you're not launching anything; it comes back with its key intact.

Questions

Why DataFast first?

It's a simple, cookie-free analytics service with an API that returns exactly these numbers. Google Analytics needs a Google sign-in flow that's still in progress.

Does the site key expose anything?

A DataFast website key is read-only for one site. It can't change settings or see other sites.
